What quantity of petals do I need?

Calculating quantities varies from one personal preference to the next, therefore there is no exact science. For example, one person’s definition of a light scattering or heavy covering will be different from another. We have provided recommendations as below as a helpful guide:

Quantities

2 litres of petals = 7 – 8 handfuls

Aisles

1 litre = 1metre for light scattering (thus, if your aisle is 20 metres long we suggest that you use 20 litres to give adequate cover)

Bed - Based on king / queen size

  • 2 litres for light scattering
  • 4 litres for moderate scattering
  • 6 litres for generous scattering

Petal/Confetti cones

2 litres = 16 – 20 cones

Petal path – Based on path x 1metre wide:

  • 1 litre for light scattering
  • 2 litres for moderate scattering
  • 3 litres for generous scattering

Tables – Based on 5 ft diameter (150cm) per round table:

  • 1 litre for light scattering (one handful) x 4 tables
  • 1 litre for moderate scattering x 3 tables
  • 1 litre for generous scattering x 2 tables

Can I order just 1 Litre of petals?

Our minimum order quantity is 2 Litres, this ensures only the best value for your money.

Can I order an assortment of coloured petals?

Should you require a specific combination of colours you will need to select individual colours from our website (note that the minimum order is 2 litres per colour). Alternatively if you are having trouble locating your colour of choice please don’t hesitate to contact us and one of our team of experts can assist and make suggestions where appropriate.

Do you offer petal samples?

Yes, we offer a FREE sample service; this includes a maximum of 5 colours from our selection of rose, hydrangea, peony and delphinium petals only. Note there is a £3.00 charge to cover administration and postage.

Are the petals still frozen when delivered to me?

No. Once the flowers have been freeze dried they are packed and may be used immediately upon delivery. The petals are dry and have the look and feel of fresh flowers.

How best do I store my petals?

To prolong your petal shelf life, they are best kept in the original packaging in a cool, dry and dark place, away from moisture. You do not need to place the petals in fridge / freezer.

How long will my freeze dried products last?

Our petals will last for approximately 12 months provided they are kept in the original packaging and stored in a cool, dry and dark place. Once opened, depending on the product you have selected, as a general rule of thumb they will last for anything between 3 to 6 months.

Are the petals/flowers biodegradable?

At Immati we pride ourselves on the fact that we use no chemicals of any kind in our freeze drying of petals and flowers. As a result, our product is long lasting, environmentally friendly and biodegradable.

What makes Immati environmentally friendly?

As if flowers themselves were not green enough, here are just some of the ways we endeavour to be "greener":-

* our freeze drying refrigeration systems are CFC free with low energy consumption

* all flower waste (eg: stems/leaves/damaged flowers or petals) are recycled

* hand made cotton boxes are used to package our natural scent candles and pot pourri

* only recycled boxes are used for transportation

* the process of freeze drying is entirely safe to the environment with NO chemicals used.

Will the freeze dried petals stain material?

The freeze drying process that Immati uses ensure our petals and flowers will not stain.

Do I need to order in advance?

We would recommend you place your petal order 2 months prior to your wedding or event date to ensure your desired colour/s are available and delivered on the required date. However of course we welcome orders within this timeframe subject to availability.

When can I expect my order to be delivered?

In most cases, within 5 working days. On urgent orders, 1-2 working days post receipt of the order.

Do you deliver overseas?

Yes, however there is a surcharge depending on where you are. If you are in Europe or the US, the charge is £14.00 and £16.00 for all other destinations.

Are there any other / hidden charges?

At Immati we genuinely believe in transparency and avoid extra charges. All costs are specified in the online shopping cart.

Will my details be used for marketing by third parties?

No – your details will only be used to process your order and inform you of any promotion or new product / services we may offer.
